    I remember the howls of indignation when you pointed out the obvious: that nation-branding in Ghana will have no real impact if the basic problems of governance and social attitudes etc are not first addressed…These “Amazing Race” reality programs vindicate you…If we have slums, these people will find their way there, instead of theTrust Towers, Jubilee House and other recent developments we would prefer to show off…We forget that we are dealing with economic powers who continue to regard us as exotic beings and who filter their knowledge of us through that construction…
