The sequence of events show that after Vice=President John Mahama had been “lobbied” by the British Foreign Office minister at a dinner in London, the British High Commisioner in London sent an email to London saying the Cocobod would soon “sort” the banning of Armajaro from ourchasing cocoa in the Western region. And by September, the ban had been lifted in all but one district. CHRAG, the group says, must enquire into whether the Cocobod and the Vice=President acted against the interests of the Ghna cocoa industry, from which so much revenue is derived for development.
